Paris 1936

After fleeing Rome and the Blackshirts, Giulia Diacalone finds refuge in the Italian community in Paris. Striving to forget her past loves, she tries to rebuild her life among artists and exiles.

From Paris to Rome, via the French Riviera, Giulia navigates the most turbulent years of the 20th century. Faced with Nazi predators coveting art collections belonging to Jewish families, she must protect her own, confront the consequences of her past choices, and reunite with the man she has never stopped loving.

Past choices continue to have repercussions as the characters must face the consequences of their commitments, their silences, and their sacrifices.

Between the rise of totalitarianism, the struggles of the Resistance, and the tragedies of war, Demain à Rome tells the story of a free-spirited woman confronted with the upheavals of a Europe in turmoil.
