Overview

Provence in the 10th century.

Entrenched on the rocky outcrop of Fraxinet, in the Maures Mountains, Saracen warriors defy Carolingian rule in Provence and the Viennois region. Feared for their raids, they build a unique community alongside the Provençals in the heart of a region torn by political and religious rivalries.

It is in this world that love blossoms between Tyra, daughter of the Viking princess Inga—a free-spirited and rebellious woman—and Hugues, cousin of the Carolingian king Louis. A passion as deep as it is impossible, from which a son will be born, destined to carry the legacy of two worlds.
